Hi Chris, I like your idea for pictures and Facebook link, "family highlight page" and all. Are you willing to help with this tech-savy" venture? Myra is doing a great job by starting our site and I'm sure she would welcome the help and support. Thanks for participating in 2016 reunion. We look forward to seeing you and family again. We missed you much.

It might be nice to add pictures to the site or create a FACEBOOK link to see family members. How about a 5 picture limit per entry on this site and or by family relation in family tree fashion. Even better a link to ancestry.com. that way any family member can see as much as we have at any time! A family highlight page. Newborns, homegoings, graduations, relocations, new homes, accolades, etc.

RE: Uncle Mack Moore was in a fatal car accident March 26th 2015.
Words are never adequate in moments like these. I will say though, that my heart goes out to all who were close to Uncle Mack in Ft Wayne Indiana. I will always remember the joyous memories that I was privileged to have in knowing Uncle Mack, my grandmothers dear brother, whom she called her baby. May God's peace be with his wife Aunt Carolyn Moore and family and all who were close to him. Cherish the memories you created with Uncle Mack. I will always remember him for his caring and loving nature.
Minutes for 2014

Mayhand, Harris, Moore Family Meeting
July 19, 2014
Annual meeting called to order by president, Deborah Harris stating that this is a time that we all get together, whether it is a new member to the family that was married in/born in, but if we were to look around there is not even a quarter of members attending for the 2014 reunion, this is one of the topics that she request that we discuss after the minutes read by secretary, Coradene Rutledge. Minutes read by secretary motion to approve by Coraette Mayhand second by Charlene Moore, minutes approved as read.
Treasuer, Linda Mayhand gave treasure report Linda stated that we need more money to promote reunions. She stated we have had a sufficient amount, but people tend to forget that we are expected to have a balance with a profit end of each reunion. The first statement that she received was for 9/30/2012 we had a ending balance of $111.01 all deposits made of $958.00 from the 2012 reunion making the ending balance at 9/30/2012 $1065.45.
The beginning balance as of January 2014 was $1059.70 this also include the .05 interest and expenses from the CD. In March a withdrawal of $200.00 for the 2014 reunion the treasure did not receive any notification on this from president, therefore she did not know if there had be a theft and was concerned balance came down to $865.66, a deposit of $210.02 was made on 6/30/2014 making the total amount $1075.68. Question was asked by Patricia Mayhand regarding the withdrawal of $200.00. Response made by the president that she did email Linda that it was for the hotel room and the sparetime bowling. Linda responded that she never got the email, but she did consult with the host, Elizabeth Mayhand that it was for postage and sparetime a bowling alley. Linda went on to say that she is not sure of what the $210.00 that was deposit in the account was actually for because she had not received any receipts or correspondence stating withdrawal and deposits made by president. Patricia Mayhand asked whose names were on the account so that the monies can be taken out and if there were two signatures on the account. Linda responded that on every nonprofit its always the presidents and treasure name on the account, as is customarily law for a non-profit, but the treasure is the only one who is suppose to take money out the account, but the bank will allow the president to take money out of the account. The president is supposed to advise and be the backup for the treasure on withdrawals and expenses. Linda went on to say that by Roberts Rules of Order the president advises the treasure to give her money as needed for expenses it is for, so that there will not be any questions any bickering and will be clear trail of people handing money. The treasure request that, in the future monies that are to be taken out of the account should come before the treasure, prior from the president. Linda also said that the hostess should report all expenses to her at the end of the reunion and will be reported to the family in two years. Coraette made the comment that the treasure report as well as the secretary report should be given to the family. Morris made the suggestion that the secretary get everybody email so that she can send out the report at the end of the reunion. Linda replied that the hostess has the responsibility to get everybody email, address, and phone # and give them to the secretary. The family made comments as to the length of time they should receive the reports. It was voted on that the treasure report be received no later than September 30, 2014 on the website. Treasure report was accepted by Coraette Mayhand and second by Vanessa Buress. Treasure report received by family.
There was some discussion as to who receive email regarding the family reunion this year. A few people raised their hands. Deborah insist that she send out letters in January as well as emails to everyone she had and that if they did not receive the information she gave it to them last night during the registration. Deborah informed us that we will be going to goggle drive, which will be on the family reunion website to update our email, address and phone #’s. Codealie Moore wanted to know what happened from this time to the time of the last family reunion where there were 80-100 people that attend. The treasure informed us that after sending out letters and email and the response is poor that the president should send another letter and get with the board to help her to contact the family members. Even though we are using email for the younger generation the older generation needs to be contact by phone or sending a second letter.
The next discussion was ways to keep the reunion going. Karen suggests that we do pot luck. She also went on the say that it has gotten to the point that if she saw some of the family members on the street that she would not know them because they are not coming to the reunions. It was also suggested that we have the reunion on Camborne Street.
Mrs. Corrine Mayhand spoke saying the family reunion started with two families: Mayhand and Moore and when Aunt Susie Annie Harris came from New York the following three years she heard about it. The Harris family was added and another set of Moore’s came. She suggested that unless the elders encourage their young and teach them they will not come. That it is the family responsibility to talk to their family and let them know that the reunion is.
Mrs. Harris suggests that if the younger people have money problems that when we send out the letters we let them know that they can pay $40.00 and the rest before the reunion. The president made her suggestion that we ask for a $20.00 registration fee (non-refundable) that it would go toward their payment for the reunion. John Howard asks that a motion be done. Motion was accepted by the family. Patricia Mayhand objects motion. President suggests motion to be put in bylaws.
Vanessa Burness will be hosting in Greensboro with the assistant of Doris Harriston in 2016.
Coradene Rutledge made correction for monies to be sent to 2819 Camborne Street. Treasure made suggestion that the address should be taken off and all checks made out to Mayhand, Moore, and Harris Family Reunion. Motion was made and accepted by family members.
Morris Moore introduced his brother as first time coming to the reunion.
Vanessa Burness introduced herself as a publisher and brought books that she had published. She made an announcement that she would donate all monies collected by family members that buys one of her book would go into the reunion account.
Meeting adjourned to go to bowling.

I am looking forward to seeing all my family this year, new addition and returing family members. Stay positive, loving and share a smile with someone who does have one. My Prayer for us is: That the Light of God surrounds us; The Love of God enfolds us; The Power of God protects us; The Presence of God watches over us; Wherever I am, God is, And all is well.
